The year was 1936 and the country was involved in a construction explosion. Houses were being built so fast that House Beautiful magazine wrote all about it. They chose homes from across the country and 3 Mountain View Drive in West Hartford was featured in that article. There was even a picture! Who would think that a West Hartford Colonial would have such exposure? Maybe it was the cottage Colonial styling. Perhaps it was the slate roof. They certainly didn't know then that it would be in Bugbee School district. Was Bugbee School even built? Whatever the reason, 3 Mountain View Drive in Bugbee School district was definitely featured.
This home offers a sunny spacious living room with fireplace wall, lovely porch, dining room with two built-in corner cabinets, family room with fireplace, hardwood floors and a third fireplace in the lower level. There is a study on the first floor, 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Great location too...close to shopping and restaurants.
You can see this home and read the article at our Open House this week-end. The home is now for sale. We will be open Sunday, February 9th from 1-3pm. If you can't make it that day or time and want to check it out, call me for a personal appointment. Linda @ 860-983-4799. Hope to see you there.
