Another Major Snow Storm in Norwalk, CT

For those of us who live on the East Coast, you are already aware that we got slammed, once again, with snow.  Actually, I really like the snow; it's the aftermath that is frustrating and not particularly attractive - slushy, brown snow is not appealing.

This photo was taken just after the sun had come up and the snowplows had already been working overtime.  I couldn't sleep with the anticipation of how much snow would arrive in the middle of the night and the amount of shoveling necessary to clear the driveway. Weather forecasters can, oftentimes, get us all worked up about the 'disaster' that is approaching.  This time, however, their report was fairly accurate; but everyone was prepared and handled it well.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that the forecaster's 'prediction' of a Nor'easter this weekend is very, very WRONG!

Stay warm and safe ......

Be glad you only got snow from that storm.  We got nothing but ice.  Nothing moved this morning and my electricity was out from 5:30 to 10:33 a.m.

Not fun.  Snow is a problem, but ice brings limbs down onto power lines.

Christi, sure sounds like you guys have had quite the winter.   We are too right now, but have had a mild winter up until now.    Good luck, and stay warm!

Lenn - you're absolutely correct.  We got some sleet and ice but not enough to knock out our electricity.  Five hours w/o heat isn't fun ............

Joan - This winter is crazy and more to come, it seems.  Those daffodils are looking better and better!

Hi Ed ... you got a foot?!  Wow, I had no idea.  Yes, this Nor'easter that they're talking about is a bit frightening.  Let's hope that they are WRONG!!

Christi, the picture looks beautiful, but the ride into work this morning was not so beautiful.  The freeway and back roads were not cleared very well.

I'm so sorry, George ..... I stayed home!  Yes, I heard that people should not travel anything but the major highways, if at all possible.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day.  Thank you for checking in  .....

Haha, you better believe it!  Met someone yesterday who looked familiar.  Talked with her a bit, and she's from Denver.  Therefore,  I thought possibly a Realtor on AR.  Nope, but a very nice woman.  Guess you Denver people are just really, really great!! :)
