Drinks and Networking..could it get any better?

As I have blogged before, I am a member of The Hub (Young Professionals of the Hudson Valley). Well they have just announced a new form of networking..5 o'clock Fridays!

Every third Friday of the month The Hub's members have a chance to network with no speeches and no pressure, just drinks and good company.

This month's event is taking place at Bonefish Grill on Rt 9 in Poughkeepsie on Friday March 21st at of course..5pm.

So come celebrate the happy hour and a month of working hard with 5 o'clock Fridays!

That sounds like a great idea. Not all networking has to be done before during or after a speech. I think that you stand a better chance of getting to know some one when they are relaxed....of course you have to be careful not to get TOO relaxed.... people tend to let their guard down and it gives you a better idea of who they are.... not just what they have accomplished.

Tara - This is great! I used to get over 27% of my business "socially" networking. Just make sure, if you get business from there, to make sure you are seen doing paperwork there. It turns into a beautiful cycle of fun and work!

It was less eventful thank goodness! I did make some great contacts that night. Oh and the cop didn't show up for cell phone ticket so it was dismissed!
