Do you want the Annapolis Living without paying the Annapolis prices? Edgewater is the place for you.

One of the bigger communities in the area is the South River Colony. It’s located on route 2 about 6 miles away from historic Annapolis. The community is made up of townhomes, single-family homes and condos. There is also great shopping, restaurants, offices and more. Here are just a few of the communities in the area.

The Point has both homes and town houses. The 122 townhomes have 2 car garages and more than 3000 square feed.  The neighborhood is close to everything because of its location on Route 214. The community has a gazebo, tot lot, park and open areas.

Tree lined sidewalks lead you to the Landings. It’s a 91 Townhouse community in South River. They are convenient to shopping, restaurants and schools. For the tennis enthusiast they are conveniently located near the community’s tennis courts.

Another townhome community in South River is The Cove. There are 64 townhomes in this neighborhood. You can walk to the library, senior center, shopping center and Post office on a wooded walking path.

Overall, all three of these townhouse communities offer great living at different price points and are all very nice units with modern amenities.

Great suggestions. We have not looked in Annapolis for a retirement home because of the high prices.

Edgewater is great because it is so close to Annapolis. It's just one of the great areas on the bay with lower prices. One of my favorites is Tracy's Landing.
