The Beach, Fingerpaints and Snow!
I had the pleasure of spending this weekend with my second oldest son, my grandson, my daughter and my Dad! What a weekend we had. Even though it has been so cold here lately, we were all feeling pretty cooped up this week and with the visit of my 5 year old grandson, Zayden, we decided to get out of the house.
Saturday, we headed to Mukilteo Beach for some fresh air. Though it was cold, it was beautiful and the kids had a great time playing on the swings and throwing rocks into Puget Sound.
Once the cheeks turned pink and fingers grew numb we decided on some lunch and stopped at Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse . If you have never been there before, it is sort of known for serving peanuts while you wait for your meal. It is totally “allowed” to shell your peanuts and throw them on the floor. Zayden had no problem with this idea and neither did my 13 year old daughter Tomi. My Dad on the other hand, just didn’t believe me when I told him it was completely ok to do this! (as you can see by his expression)
Once our stomachs were full, some of us were feeling a little sleepy so we decided to go home and do some indoor activities. Zayden has been wanting to do some finger painting so his Dad helped him out with this project.
After a good nights rest we woke up to our first snow of the year! I had heard some rumors that it may snow, but I’ve heard those rumors before and really didn’t pay any attention. Surprise!
So, we had a nice weekend and we all feel rested and rejuvenated and ready to start another week. I hope you had a great weekend too!
