Those of us in the real estate profession get these kinds of phone calls every day:
“Would you like to have more business?” Before you even have time to proffer a response the very next line is something akin to:
“Are you near a computer right now?”
Yes, it’s another one of those sales calls for the latest and greatest Internet service or application, without which my business will not survive.
As soon as I am allowed to speak I often put forward this observation:
You have the greatest Web App on the planet? Um, then why are you calling me on the telephone?
“If it’s a great as you claim, wouldn’t I have found it on my own and contacted you? After all, you claim to have millions of visitors so it would seem likely that I might stumble upon your website on my own!”
‘Nuff said!
