North San Diego County Dogs, Take Your Humans for a 5K Paw Walk in the Gardens
The San Diego Botanic Garden, with the Rancho Coastal Human Society, are hosting the 2nd Annual 5K Paw Walk at the San Diego Botanic Garden on Saturday February 22, 2014 from 9 until 1 pm, rain or shine.
Given the drought we are having, rain seems unlikely (but wished for!!).
In addition to just having fun, the mission of the 5K Paw Walk is to introduce, or re-introduce, area residents to the beauty and the wonderful resource we have at the San Diego Botanic Garden.
There will be pet products, food for people, treats for dogs, tons of great information for dog lovers, and of course plenty of dogs and their owners and friends enjoying a beautiful day in the gardens in Encinitas.
The San Diego Botanic Garden offers 4 miles of beautiful trails, lots of palms and flowering trees and plants, and the largest collection of bamboo in the country in their 37 acre facility with micro-climates ranging from rainforest to desert.
Rancho Coastal Human Society, founded in 1960, offers a wide range of humane services including shelter care, adoption services, education programs, and an animal safehouse program
