As of today, February 20, 2014, there are 891 active rentals on the Brevard County MLS. Of those, 862 are unfurnished and this post is focusing on the long term, unfurnished market. The average rental-listing price is $1100 with an average of 80 days on the market. The property type breakdown on the active listings is:
- 374 single family
- 189 condos
- 47 townhomes
- 33 apartments
- 30 duplexes
- 4 offices (not sure why those aren’t listed in commercial)
- 3 manufactured homes
- 0 Efficiencies
Since the 1st of January, 893 properties have rented. 790 of those were unfurnished. I was unable to get average days on the market for this report, something was wrong with the data, as it listed it as -831. The average rental price of $1083. The property type breakdown on the active listings was:
- 490 single family
- 171 condos
- 71 townhomes
- 24 apartments
- 27 duplexes
- 2 offices (not sure why those aren’t listed in commercial)
- 4 manufactured homes
- 1 efficiency
There were also 241 contingent or pending rental listings since Jan 1st, that have not yet closed. The average rental price for these was $1084, and the average days on the market was 47. The property type breakdown of these listings was:
- 156 single family
- 51 condos
- 17 townhomes
- 6 apartments
- 10 duplexes
- 1 office
- 0 manufactured homes
- 0 efficiencies
