Annapolis Restaurant Week is almost upon us so here are some suggestions to hit during the week, which takes place February 24th-March 2nd.
Lewnes Steakhouse in Eastport is the best steak in town! You’re going to pay for the best steak in town, but if you can do it, it is worth it at least once. It is also a great place to take a date.
Boatyard Bar & Grill, also in Eastport, has the best of both worlds when it comes to good food and dining as well as a lively bar scene. Create your own pizza or try the fish tacos. With their extensive menu, they have something for everyone.
Staying in Eastport and another great date place is the Chart House. Start with the lobster spring rolls or the cream of crab soup. Both delicious. Try to get a table by the window overlooking the water and downtown Annapolis. It’s the best view in town! If you cannot make it for restaurant week, go for the annual Christmas parade of boats. It is a great place to be for that annual event.
To me the best Mexican food in town is at El Toro Bravo at 50 West St. in downtown. It isn’t a big place so get there early. The margaritas are fantastic and the food is authentic!
If sushi is your thing you can’t go wrong with Nano, Joss Cafe or Café Sakura all on Main St. I like to see where I will have the shortest wait and go there! But all have great Sushi.
My local favorite for Italian is Luna Blu. I used to know the old owners of Luna Blu and I have to admit I was sad to see them go. But I still love the food… including any of the seafood pasta dishes. This is a great little place for a 1st date!
It’s not crab pickin’ season yet, but don’t let that stop you just because it’s February! If you just want to go have some fun and get a little messy check out Cantler’s. It is a bit off the beaten trail but I just love this place, it’s atmosphere and its location on the water. It also has a full menu if someone in your group doesn’t want to get their hands dirty!
