Increase Your West Windsor NJ Home Value- Curb Appeal

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Princeton

What if I told you there were only 2 items you needed to enhance your West Windsor NJ curb appeal this spring?   Pay careful attention especially if you are considering putting your home on the market for sale.  Yes, West Windsor is getting multiple offers.  You may wonder why go to the extra effort.  The answer is very simple. Buyers make up their mind within the first 30 seconds of walking in the door if they are interested in your home.

Top 2  items for enhanced curb appeal:                                                              1. A gallon of paint- for the front door and trim                                                  2. Bags of mulch- generously add to all of your landscaping beds

First Impressions Count

A yard that has the grass cut nicely goes a long way. Walk outside and look at your front yard and the front of the home. Does the front of the house need paint or residing? Are there any broken windows or shutters that need repair? Does the yard need cleaning? You do not need to hire a landscape architect, but you want to make sure that your yard looks clean and nice. Be sure to pick up any items in the yard, position trash bins so that they are not visible from the street and any other general cleaning / maintenance that might be needed. If you need information for a someone that does this type of work, let me know and I can send you a couple of names.

Jody, we have painted front doors and spread mulch to help some of our sellers get their house sold.  You do what it takes, and it sure does make a big difference in making a buyer WANT to see the listing.

That's why I tell my sellers to got to Home Depot or Lowes and get bags of mulch and a gallon of outdoor paint. Instant curb appeal.   Just make sure they put down the mulch 2-3 weeks ahead of time. The odor can be off-putting.
