If you have old popcorn ceilings, you might have some spots that are flaking off, and you might be asking yourself how you will remove it so you can paint it which is probably why you ended up here. In this article I am going to show you how to remove your popcorn celing to prepare it for paint.
1. Lay down platic sheet open the floor
2. Cover wall outlets with plastic sheet and tape to protect from water
3. Turn off power
4. Fill a garder sprayer with water
5. Spray the ceiling to saturate the popcorn
6. Scrap with a paint scraper to remove popcorn
7. Let dry overnight
8. Sand and prime to prepare for painting
