Another great transportation concept has the younger generation using a car service for their commuting needs. Uber has developed an app for use on smart phones. The rider merely download the Uber app and signs up. Once loaded, the rider has a car service at their finger tips. The rider activates a request and within minutes a car shows up at their door. The cost of the service sometimes is even less then the cost of a cab. The big difference, the rider knows when the driver will arrive and be waiting.
The Uber service has options for a Xuber, which is a small sedan which are fairly new. The Xuber has a typical base rate of about $5.00. The next option is Uber black , which is a black car, the minimum is $15 and now even Uber Lux , which is a Mercedes and such.
This new concepts is now going viral. The 20-40 years old riders are using it quite often. The idea of going out and having drinks and not needing to be concerned with driving home and getting a DUI is brilliant .
The X generation has been a little slower in catching on. Yet this generation will soon be on board.
