Take time to Really Look at Things Close Up!

Last weekend, my husband and I along with our dog, Jake, took a little road trip up to the mining towns of Cripple Creek and Victor.  As usual, I had my camera (Nikon D7000) strapped across my shoulder.  After many such road trips, my husband has become accustomed to me shouting out "Photo Op" which means to stop the car and let me out.

I love taking close-up or macro shots especially of interesting textures.  I found and old water trough that was partially frozen.  Here is what I captured:

And here is a close-up of the textured ice.  I processed it using Lightroom and Nik filters.

Emelyn, Those really are some great photos!  Very interesting, and they show textures that I had never slowed down long enough to look at in ice.
