How Does a Bristow, VA Buyer Get a Jump on Their Competition?
Bristow buyers are knocking themselves over going to the sparse amount of homes listed as we see winter draw to a close. Sellers may be waiting for the trees to bud, grass to green up and flowers to bloom, but buyers are ready NOW. So what's a buyer to do when the competition is fierce and there are few homes on the market?
Hopefully, if you are a Bristow buyer, you have hired a well respected, and well connected Bristow real estate agent. Our jobs as real estate agents are not accomplished in a bubble. We network with other Bristow real estate agents in our offices and every time we call to show a home or give an agent feedback. Having that connected and respected agent can really help you.
Back in January, I was taking Buyers from house to house in Bristow. We were thrashing, trying to find the exact right fit among too few homes. Then, my Buyers found a coming soon sign. I called the number on it. Low and behold, it's an agent I have been networking with for years. I BEG him to give my buyers a sneak peak of the home. It appears to be exactly what they are looking for. With the permission of his sellers, we are permitted a four day early sneak peak. The next day, we present that Listing Agent with an offer for those kind Sellers. It was well worth it for them to let us in early.
And last weekend, an agent in my office heard of one of my upcoming listings in Braemar. She asked when it was coming on the market. March 1st was the answer. She did what I did for my own Buyers. She begged me, as the Listing Agent for a sneak peak. Sellers granted it and today, two days before they were to hit the market, they are under contract.
It does matter who you hire to represent you. It isn't just what we know, it is also who we know and have good working relationships with that can benefit our clients.
