Negative 23 degrees, at least your Belts Ice Cream won't Melt!ice cream

The sign has been up all week and we can see the Belts staff inside working hard to get ready for the grand re-opening of Belts Ice Cream on Saturday.

The weather is currently a chilly minus 23 degrees and is not expected to warm up anytime soon.

Many are wondering how many enthusiastic ice cream eaters will be camped out this year overnight waiting to be the first in line for this seasonal treat.

As much as I enjoy winter camping and crunchy cold weather, I think that I will pass on this one.

After shivering all night I would probably be in the mood for something a little warmer in the morning after a night in this weather.

But I may stop by to take a few pictures of these ice cream heroes, gotta admire someone who is that dedicated to ice cream.

If you find yourself in Stevens Point, after it warms up, give me a call and we can go down the street for a taste of the best ice cream in Wisconsin!

Good morning Bob. That is cold, we hopefully will not have to full brunt of the cold you are getting and will lose some of the punch by the time it gets to the Northeast.

That is freezing.  Wow.  And, that ice cream looks so good.  If I could eat it inside, I'd be a happy camper, but not waiting on lines for it outside.

Hey Bob, it's very cold in Chicago Land too. We are supposed to warm up and then get a bunch of snow this weekend.

We had -26 early this morning.

That ice cream looks good.  They should be ready to open when the heat wave of near 30 hits next week.

Brr!  -23 doesn't make me want to have ice cream cone, Bob.  Think I will make a hot chocolate . . .

That ice cream does look good Bob but the -23 I could pass on.  Have a great weekend, hopefully mostly inside by a nice warm fire.

Ice cream is a fine thing.  But we had to postpone a home inspection this morning, due to excessively frigid temperatures.  So I'm not in a good mood today when it comes to cold things.

Bob, cold or warm, that ice cream looks delicious. I'm one of those people that enjoy ice cream (or frozen yogurt) no matter the weather. It's delicious either way. Thanks for sharing and spreading the news, if I ever find myself in Wisconsin, I'll be sure to visit Belts!

Even with minus 40 wind chills, that looks darn good, Bob.  Send one over later in the week, will you?

Wow Bob, at negative 23, does ice cream taste warm?  I'm going to stop complaining about the cool, wet weather we're getting now, hope it warms up for you soon.
