Real Estate Correlation of Weather and Sales?

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Premier

Being in Minnesota, we see a huge increase in buyer activity when the sunshine and warmer weather days come out after winter.  It is almost like a light switch being turned on.  I was wondering in other states; either with more consistent weather year round or even others states were the weather is like Minnesota, do you see such results as well?  Buyer activity hear can almost be plotted on the same scale with temperature.

Since it is so often 60 - 70 degrees even the week of Christmas, our traffic is good pretty much year round - sometimes it slows down if it gets really hot......(and humid).......

Aloha Ryan!

here is the weather correlation on Maui: it is when it rains that people want to look at property, cause there is nothing else to do. Otherwise, during beautiful days( which is most of the time) we really need to compete for our clients attention!

Hello Ryan, I'm from Connecticut and I feel the same. I recently had an open house on March 2 and had 12 people visit in a 2 hour period. I had two open house at the same location during the cold weather and had 3 people each time.
