Coco Brazil at 400 Beach

Coco Brazil is a recent local clothing store. My birthday was during the month of July and my boyfriend decided to support a local and independent store by buying my birthday gift there. Unfortunately the dress he bought was very big on me and i went to the store only to find out that their clothing is way to large on me, and it doesn't fit. The owner (who owns two stores now-one in Hyde park and one in St. Pete) refused to return the money as they have no return policy. I was devasted!! Here is a $300.00 dollar gift that I can't even use!!! the owner refused to return the money back! Well, Happy Birthday to me! My recommendation is to carefully choose where you shop. I guess Coco Brazil is one of those stores where buyers need to be aware!

I am a Tampa native but now live in Downtown St.Pete. This boutique is something you would see in South Beach! I've shopped at Suitcase, Kit's, as well as former stores in Harbour Island and other private owned boutiques.. and I think this is one of the best! I was in a rush to find an outfit for an event at the Vinoy and the owner was so very helpful! It was great personalized friendly service. I'm a size 0-2 and found the perfect dress, shoes, and earrings! I also bought a pair of jeans for a friend but I wasn't sure of her size. Well they didn't quite fit but my girlfriend and I went back and exchanged them with NO problem... I was worried after reading Ela's post but right on my receipt states a return policy... which was honored! It is a shame to trash talk this store, the owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet!! Most boutiques I have shopped all have the same store credit return policy.

I've been buying from the Tampa CoCo Brazil store for about 2 years and have found the most unique things. The 1st time I went in I bought 6 beautiful sets of jewelry. The handbag & shoe selection is so high quality too. The owner has always offered the best service I've seen. I just went to the new St. Pete store and found so many new unique things. I know most boutiques have very specific return policy. Hopefully you were able to exchange for something else beautiful.

I normally don't leave comments but couldn't help myself after I saw the negative comment about Coco Brazil and their return policy.  I have been shopping at Coco Brazil since the grand opening of their first store in Tampa and have had nothing but exceptional customer service.  I agree with Diane's comment that Patricia, the owner, is "the nicest person you'll ever meet" and really strives to make every customer happy with their selections.  She even offered for one of my friends to bring a necklace back for repair or to be replaced after she accidentally broke the clasp.  I'm not sure if the girl that couldn't return her "gift" dress above had a receipt.  If not, most stores don't refund the $ without a receipt.  I would highly recommend Coco Brazil to anyone!  They have really unique and beautiful things....that come in all sizes!
