Bright and Beautiful Bethesda

I recently wrote a blog post about some new colors springing up on my drive to work each morning in Bethesda, Maryland. Unfortunately my post is not about the beautiful spring flowers that one might expect this time of year. You see, we are still getting snow so almost everything on my drive in is either black or white.

Fortunately, there are several splashes of color on my daily commute. I'm not sure if they were planned by a government entity or independently created by a mob of inspired vandals, but I enjoy seeing them each day along Bradley Boulevard. I wonder if the answer is out there and someone reading this blog can enlighten me as to the origins of these colorful additions to bright and beautiful Bethesda.

If you are curious about the splashes of color I am referring to, take a look at my blog post at http://www.hollish.com/2014/02/19/bethesda-is-a-very-colorfpink boxul-place/ for pictures of Bright and Beautiful Bethesda.

Sorry if that felt like a teaser. Here is a hint:

Those look like the transmission boxes for the phone company as they try to get into the Internet TV transmission service.

Ed - That sounds right. They are some kind of utility box and cable or internet makes sense. It's weird that they used to all be tan and gray and now they are painted a rainbow of colors - and only in this one area of Bethesda.
