Washington County Single-Family Home Sales -- February 2014

I have to admit that this isn't the most exciting market report I've been able to share. Washington County home sales in February held pretty steady compared to January overall.

The number of single-family homes sold in Washington County was pretty much the same.

Similarly, there wasn't much change in the average sale price ($229,474) compared to January ($222,424). It was, however, up over the same time last year.

The average days on market (number of days from when the house is listed until all contingencies are removed) was up over January 2014 and February 2013.

It'll be interesting to see how things turn out at the end of this month. Inventory has been low, not leaving many choices for buyers. If you've been on the fence wondering if you should list your house, remember the law of supply and demand. Waiting until spring  when everyone else lists their home may not be the best decision.
