You can make Texas History Come Alive by becoming a member of the Texas State Historical Association.  This is a great association decitated to keeping Texas History in the forfront of interestied Texas History generations; if not each generation would need to start over.

It srives to research, document and preserve the dynamic history of the Lone Star State.The most notiable projects include the following:

The Handbook of Texas Online provides more than 26,000 authoritavite entries on Texas.

The Southwestern Historical Quarterly serves as a trusted source for writers and scholars of Texas history.

The Texas Almanac, is a comprehensive resource on Texas history, government, business and culture and has been in continous publication since 1857. It is now published by TSHA and available every two years.

TSHA has a catalog of 235 books and one of the largest online resources of 250,000 pages on Texas history.

As a member you will receive the Southwestern Historical Quarterly, The Riding Line Newsletter, Insider Updates from the Executive Drictor and Special Invitations to Attend Exclusive Events such as the annual meeting. It is hosted in a different Texas city each year. The annual meeting is the largest gathering of its kind for Texas history enthusiasts.

Hi Don, our country needs organization like Texas State Historical Association to keep the history alive. Last month my husband and I visited Lincoln Boyhood National memorial in Indiana and learned so much about history.... BTW thank you for your comment on my post
