Running Of The Bulls In Dade City, FL March 8, 2014. You can participate or simply watch. Over Running Of The Bulls in Dade City, FL March 8, 201410,000 people have participated at several events around the country.The owners say that no-one has been hurt except for some broken bones. (I'm sure broken bones do hurt). Rob Dickens, one of the organizers, compares it to sky diving.

The Great Bull Run will take place at the Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City at the eastern side of Pasco County.  Tickets are $65. to participate in the run, $10. to watch. Dickens assures the public that the bulls are specially trained by cowboys and do not get hurt. The bulls will arrive from their home in Kentucky today. The bulls horns are dulled for the running.

BTW, did you know that bulls are color-blind, so any color article waved in front of them will make them run.

Did you also know that bulls in the Pamplona running are killed after the run, these are not. The organizers say the bulls will not be abused to make them run. They will run the track several times with riders on horseback before the people runs. The Great Bull Run has received threats from several animal rights organizations.

A Spanish-style Tomato Royale (tomato wars) is planned for after the bull run.

Little Everglades Ranch is located at 17951 Hamilton Road, Dade City, FL. I will not be attending this event so do not expect pictures of it.

Toni: I am sure it will be a well attended event as will the Tomato Royale afterwards. I can say without reservation there is zero chance I would be running with the bulls. My hubby is crazy enough to try it but not this girl!

Roger - it's definitely not for me but there are people who will do this. I would feel sorry for the bulls.

Anita, I know a few people who will probably try it- not this girl either.

Sky diving. There are no bulls running in the sky. But if I was there i would only be a spectator. I don't care for getting gored by a bull.

Toni, I'm with you and Anita, I'd never run with the bulls. Way too scary for me. I'm sure it will be well attended, seems to be getting more and more popular for people who actually want to run and not just watch.

Good morning Toni.  Now running with the bulls is not my thing.  I would like to watch but no getting close enough to run with the beast. I like my bull medium rare and on my plate :)

Toni,  What!!!!  They kill the bulls in Pamplona after the run???  That is wrong on so many levels.  First they make them run and then sentence them to death.  Wow!  I had no idea.

I don't know that either one of us would even want to go to this event, but then we are not the target market...Glad they don't kill the bulls...I will never go to a bullfight!  Ron went to one in Portugal with his parents, where they do not kill the bulls. I hate the whole concept...A

Hi Toni.  I had no idea that sleepy little Dade City could offer such cosmopolitan entertainment as running with the bulls!  Rather a risky form of entertainment, but I suppose that's the appeal.  Even a kind and gentle bull would do a lot of harm if he stepped on somebody!
