    Speechless Sunday - Dry Rot

dryrot

Well it's not always a pretty picture. Especially when the inspection comes back with a lot of dry-rot and wood replacement photos.  That's why I had my painter go over this house that is to be listed this coming Friday.  Looks like he missed this dry-rot on the bottom of the door from the sunroom to the patio. I didn't see it the first time myself but better now than later.

Last summer I went to show a house that had signs of dry rot in multiple places. Too bad the agent didn't point out the damage early; it ended up off the market. Thanks Robert for sharing.

Robert:  As you point out, better that YOU find it and have it fixed .. than an inspector, buyer, or appraiser.  You're ahead of the game now ...

Robert, we see a lot of this in our area.  Important to get it fixed now, rather than later.

That would be pretty hard to miss if you were a buyer looking at the house. This is not one of those things that get better over time.

Glad you're taking care of it before you get it listed. That's the right way to market homes. Good for you Bob.

Great job!  It's good that the repairs are all done before it gets listed.

OK, Robert!  Your dry rot isn't nearly as adorable as mine of Millie the kitten.
