Attending open houses that offer refreshments often are very memorable to buyers and their agents who happen to be with them. While I was showing properties today in Chesterfield County Virginia for one of my clients, she asked that we stop at an open house in the vicinity and take a look at it.
Upon entering this beautiful home, we noticed a very welcoming aroma. As soon as we entered the kitchen, a table with delicious refreshments and homemade cookies was shown to us. It was very thoughtful that this listing agent and her affiliated mortgage specialist brought us some goodies.
After thanking the listing agent holding the open house for her generous hospitality, we resumed our drive to the regularly stops for property showings. While driving us to the next property destination, I thought of a potentially good practice to start when hosting my own next open house.
The version of brownie cupcakes I made recently at my Fan area home in Richmond Virginia are very easy to make and would be nice item of value to offer visitors at my next open house. I happen to use quinoa flour in the recipe, and quinoa has been considered one the world's healthiest foods. The following is my own original recipe (as far as I know) that I already tasted myself:
Quinoa Chocolate Brownie Cupcakes
Prep Time: 6 minutes
Cook Time: 26 minutes
Ingredients
1) 3/4 cup of unsalted certified organic butter
2) 1 cup of sugar
3) 1 cup of Bob's Red Mill organic quinoa flour
4) 1 cup of Equal Exchange organic baking cocoa
5) four organic eggs
Instructions
1. Use a glass or metal bowl to mix all the ingredients except for the eggs and butter. Take the four whole eggs and beat both the yokes and egg whites together. Melt the butter in a pan on the stove, and then add the melted butter to the mixture. Add the beaten eggs, also. Be sure all ingredients are mixed well into a smooth batter.
2. Put medium sized brown paper baking cups into a 12- cupcake pan. The batter will be sufficient to fill all 12 individual cups inserted into the pan. Carefully pour batter equally into each of the cups. Bake in a 350-degree oven for approximately 26 minutes, or a couple minutes longer if more well done is preferred.
3) Take the baked brownie cupcakes out of the oven and allow to cool completely. These brownies are then ready to be served in their individual paper cups.
Above is one dozen Chocolate Brownie Cupcakes. They're easy to serve in their own cups!
