What comes to your mind when you think Realtor/Real Estate Agent?

Asked this question on my facebook to see what kind of comments I would get 

Here is what I learned:

"One that has your best interest in what you want"

"Knowledgeable about towns/cities they work in."

"Lexus"

Mark Corbett Post-"Hmm.. does that mean Expensive or good quality or both"

"Intimidating!"

"My Agent"

"Blondes in Blazers."

"Motivated (sometimes good and sometimes not)"

Mark Corbett post-"interesting do you mean intimidating to approach or the process of real estate in general?"

Mark Corbett post- "How about helpful?"

"A bit. I was never taken seriously whenever I approached anyone."

"If you have a good one, honest, hardworking and willing to do what it takes to get you what you want."

"Looking for the right thing to say. Unfortunately, the gut reaction is not a positive. I know good ones, and agents in particular, however, "middleman" probably is my best word to use."

Mark Corbett post-"what did you look for in a great real estate agent?"

Mark Corbett post-"Would you say you had a bad experience using a real estate agent? What would you have liked to see done that was not done."

"You want one who will help you find a house with good re-sale value!"

"A few that we tried who were never listening (looking for the deals they wanted to put us in), and a good one we used (as buyers)"

Mark Corbett Post "so your good experience was more on the buying end? What word would come to mind on that agent?"

"Mark - the good one knew exactly what we wanted and was looking for, and called us while doing her pre-avail tour so we could get a bid in the hour it was open (I only saw it on the web). So for her, at this time, she was our "inside buyer"."

"Houses"

"Cheesy pictures of themselves in advertisements."

"I want to see the house and the info and don't want to have to talk to an agent to get basic info.I HATE seeing pictures of their faces all over the magazines. While I get why they do that... It actually turns me off from wanting to work with them. I also don't like ones that try to make you sign crap just to go view a house. I refuse. If I have to sign something to look, I'm not interested in working with you. Hope that's helpful and not too harsh."
