Old Town Clovis Black Pot Cook-Off 2014

Black pot cooking is a trend that has taken off in recent years across the country. Clovis hopped aboard this mouth-watering train a couple of years ago when they held their very first cook-off specifically geared towards black pot cooking. They are now accepting applications for black pot chefs to compete in the Old Town Clovis Black Pot Cook-Off 2014.

Even though it's only in its third year, the Old Town Clovis Black Pot Cook-Off 2014 is poised to draw the biggest crowds to date. If you fancy yourself a great black pot chef and wish to compete in the cook-off, please download an application here. All applications must be received in the Business Organization of Old Town's offices no later than the end of business on April 1st. Contestants will compete in best entree, side dish, bread and dessert.

Luckily, you don't have to be a black pot chef to participate. Everyone who comes to the Old Town Clovis Black Pot Cook-Off 2014 will be able to purchase tickets for samples from all the contestants. Yummo!

There is much more to this cook-off than just delicious food. Enjoy Old West music throughout the day. Or, catch a saddle making demonstration, watch metal work in action or see how rug hooking is done by artisans dressed in period costume.
