Community Event # 1 - Friday Night Live Concert

When: March 14 Friday

This free concert is sponsored by the Venice MainStreet. Remember, every second and fourth Friday will have these free concerts with different groups of musicians. The musician for this week is Terry Todd, who brings you Sinatra/Martin/Darin style live music for your entertainment. For those who like to dance, you are encouraged to show off your dancing skill on the lawn in-front of the gazebo. While you enjoy the music, your children may play at the water fountain close by.

For your comfort, bring your lawn chair, blanket and jacket to relax and enjoy the free music. Also, you may bring your dinner and beverage to enjoy, while listening to the live entertainment.

Community Event #2 - YMCA St. Patty’s Day 8K Run

When:  March 15, 2014   Saturday
Time: 8:00am
Where: Sharky’s on the Pier, 1600 Harbor Dr. S. Venice FL 34285
Admission fee:  $35 per person

This event is held by the Venice YMCA. Come join the run to have fun with other runners of all ages. There are many awards, door prizes and T-shirts waiting for you to be the winner.  Also enjoy your full continental breakfast from the courtesy of Sharky’s on the Pier Restaurant.

Remember to bring your hat, sun glasses, towel and put on your sun screen lotion to avoid sunburn.

Event #3 on March 16, 2014 – Car Show

When: March 16, 2014 Sunday
Time: 8:00am – 3:00pm

For those who love cars especially the Corvette fans, you would not miss this opportunity to see these sparkling new and vintage Corvette car show. The event is hosted by Venice Florida Corvettes and Bill Buck Chevrolet.The awards are provided by Norma Jean’s Bar & Grill Restaurant.  Beside the show, there will be a DJ, door prizes, food for sale, 50/50 drawing, vendors, etc.

Also meet the car owners and ask them about car collection tips.
