Today’s issue of Living the San Francisco Dream focuses on a few of the shops along the Middle and Upper Polk Street area of the city.
Here, between California and Union Streets, you’ll find a vibrant shopping area of unique, one-of-a-kind stores ranging from household and clothing shops, to art and hardware stores. (Does your hardware store host wine-and-chocolate tasting nights? Cole Hardware on Polk Street does!)
Here is where I have found my favorite florist, optometrist and yoga studio. You’ll find restaurants galore, and more than a few spots to quench your thirst!
Housing on Polk Street itself is primarily condos, tenancy-in-common units, and apartments above retail space. However, within a block or two of Polk Street, choices widen to include single-family homes and some grand condominiums.

I invite you to come take a walk down Polk Street someday soon and explore this unique and diverse shopping neighborhood. Bring your shopping bag, gift list and an appetite!
When you're ready to find your special place in the City, I'm here to help. Soon you, too, can be Living the San Francisco Dream.
