Cubs Spring Training Schedule - New Cubs Stadium

The Cubs Spring Training schedule began back on February 27th against the Arizona Diamondbacks.  The Cubs spring training schedule has 16 home games at their new stadium located at Rio Salado Pkwy & Dobson Road in Mesa, AZ.   The new spring training facility is 140 acres which was recently constructed on the site of the Riverview Golf Course.  The stadium seats 15,000 people and is the largest stadium in the Cactus League.  Their old stadium will be taken over by the Athletics starting next season.

Even if you're not a baseball fan, the Cubs park offers a number of softball and baseball fields, a park with state of the art jungle gyms, climbing walls and even a pond to watch ducks and fish.  Across the street from the stadium is Mesa Riverview which offers a variety of shopping and dining with stores like Sheplers, Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, Bass Pro Shop and many more.  You will also find Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill, Cactus Moon, Famous Dave's BBQ, and a Cracker Barrell.  There is an amazing seafood restaurant inside Bass Pro Shop which is the best kept secret in the area.  There is a huge salt water tank behind the bar and great food to complete the overall experience!
