You buy the home, then you remodel the home possibly several times over the years of home ownership.

Clint this is so true. Many home owners just don't realize how run down or out of date their homes become until it's pointed out to them what needs to be fixed/repaired/replaced in order to be ready for market - or just safe living as you suggested. Great post!

This is all too common. Bad or missing bulbs and the buyers think the lights don't work at all.

When listing a home, install bulbs in all the lights. Makes for a easier sale.

This could be done. The wires were the only thing holding this recept on the wall.

Not good, no GFCI, GFI, ground nothing.
