What’s the Van Dorn Village Neighborhood Like?
Van Dorn Village is primely located off of South Van Dorn Street just minutes from Kingstowne. The neighborhood is composed of 295 townhomes, all are three levels with 2 to 3 bedrooms and range from 1,680 to 2,875 square feet. The homes were constructed between 1986 and 1988. There are very few garage units in the community but, most of the homes sell with assigned parking. Residents enjoy use of basketball courts and tot lots. The community is maintained by an HOA.
What’s Nearby Van Dorn Village?
The neighborhood is located just outside the beltway and has easy access to both Van Dorn and Franconia-Springfield metro stations. Residents are only two stop lights from 495 and can also easily access 395, 95, and Fairfax County Parkway. Popular Kingstowne is just minutes down South Van Dorn Street and home to Kingstowne Town Center where you’ll find grocery stores, Kingstowne 16 Movie Theater and many retail and restaurant options; Pasara Thai, Bonefish Grill, East Moon Bistro, Macaroni Grill, Dominos Pizza, World Market, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, and many others. Construction is under way at Springfield Town Center (formerly Springfield Mall) and once finished will include more retail and shopping choices for residents in Van Dorn Village within 5 minutes of the neighborhood. There are plenty of parks that are also easily accessible from the neighborhood, Cameron Run Regional Park is great during the summer with Great Waves Waterpark onsite along with mini golf and batting cages.
What Schools Will The Kids Attend?
Kids will attend Bush Hill Elementary, Twain Middle, and Edison High School.
