A good time was had by all at Barrie’s Bowlerama on Bayfield Street yesterday, as REALTORS® from all over Barrie crowded the bowling lanes in support of Bowl for Kids Sake. The Peggy Hill Team laced up for the cause, which is an annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Barrie and District. The fund raiser runs from February to April with 11 different “challenges” issued to local groups and businesses. The challenge is simple: raise some money and have some fun at the same time!
Big Brother Big Sister’s is Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity. They facilitate life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach for their potential. Their mission is to provide children and youth with valuable mentoring programs which are vital in fostering their full potential to succeed. Their vision is to see that every child in Barrie and District who needs a mentor has one.
So far, Chay Today, Hydro workers, Retail workers and REALTORS® have all “changed their shoes, to change a life”! There are still 7 more challenges to go, if you’re looking to get in on the fun. The success of the event is unquestionable! Bowl for Kids Sake, an annual event, was started in Barrie over 40 years ago and has now been adopted nationally by Big Brothers Big Sisters across the country. Participants must pledge at least $30 in donations to take part.
The Peggy Hill Team and Keller Williams Experience took the opportunity to put on their bowling shoes for KOOL FM’s REALTOR® challenge yesterday afternoon. The challenge was able to raise over $10,000 for the cause! Our team which consisted of: Peggy & Doug Hill, Terry Laycock Schneider, June Belanger, Kim Callahan, Darren Johnson and Stephen Brewer had more fun than success in the game of bowling, with the exception of Doug Hill who was lucky enough to achieve 3 strikes in a row! Our team has taken the challenge, and we now challenge you to get involved as well!
