Revolution Brewery Paonia, CO...All Natural Beer That Tastes Great. At Revolution the beer is never pasteurized, filtered and there are no unnatural additives. The main ingredients are simple and mainly include barley, hops, malt and yeast.
For owners Mike and Gretchen King it's all about balance. That balance comes from running a business respected in the industry and their small mountain community, managing family life and living a good life. Their business ideas are simple and they work.
Revolution's beer glasses are shaped like cans. You can actually make the glass stand on it's edge, like in the picture, once you drink about two thirds of the beer.
Revolution Brewery has won several awards for it's beer. I have several favorites. The miner's gold is a light pilsner. It's a wonderful refresher on a hot summer day. I'm not a stout fan, but there's something about Revolution's stout that really appeals to me. It's full flavored, but it's not a heavy beer. The cherry beer is a hit with everyone. It's made from this region's organically grown cherries. There's also non alcoholic root beer and cherry soda available.
All of Revolution's beers are brewed in small batches. The actually brewing facility is across the street from the tasting room. You can try all the beer you want in the tasting room, and it's also available in some local liquor stores.
The tasting room is a fun place to hang out. Here you can enjoy a tasty beverage in a laid back atmosphere. There's always some kind of food available, too. The food is as good as the beer.
If you haven't tried Revolution Brewery's beer yet...you are missing out on a wonderful taste sensation. Visit the tasting shop for a great laid back time.
