If you follow my blog you may or may not remember my post July 11, 2013 about my daughter's friend and co-worker Eric John. At the time I wrote that post his name had not even been made public because his family was on vacation in Florida and had not yet been notified. I did edit it to add his name and update his condition a couple of days after that. But that day he was struck by a car while on the side of the road and critically injured. I asked for your prayers then.
Do you remember what has happened in your life since last July? Well today was the first day Eric was either in a hospital room, in surgery, in ICU, riding in an ambulance or in physical therapy since last July. Bless his heart, Eric is working so hard to recover for that day.
His work family hosted a fund raising even for him last September. They can all continued to visit, pray and love Eric. I feel he's a part of my own family as well. He was one of the first EMTs Abigail worked with when she was training for her career.
Today Abigail had a happy surprise when out at the Macon Cherry Blossum Festival. Up rolled Eric John. His first public debut since last July 11th. Abigail was thrilled to see him. And Eric is looking great. He still has a long road ahead of him to regain his strength and finally be released from medical care. I'd like to ask for you to continue to pray for him and his family.
Through it all Eric has maintained a great attitude and determination to walk again. I know he will. He won't stop until he accomplishes his goal. And God is good, because the fact Eric is still here to recover has been called a miracle. So if you pray, please say a prayer for Eric. I would appreciate it as would my daughter and the rest of his work family and his family too. He's had lots of love and support along the way.
