Awake O, dormant feathered lace
In pungent bursts of scented grace
That lure the workers from hive to bloom,
As Lazarus risen from Winter’s tomb!
(Richard Weisser 2014)
Spring has always been considered a time of new beginnings.
And although the calendar may declare that January 1 is the beginning of the new year, Spring inaugurates the cycle of life in a more natural sense.
As we emerge from hibernation, our spirits are reinvigorated with all that is fresh and new in the season!
It’s time to put all of that new found energy to work and get busy.
That is, right after I stop to smell the flowers!
