My Bike is taking up precious Apartment space-Any Feng Shui Tips?
"I had my bike hanging from the only available wall space, which happened to be in front of my entrance door (it's an apt, so this is the only entrance). The door opened about 2/3 of the way, and I had an intuition that this could not be helpful.
I removed the bike from that area and it is now in my hallway against a wall. I have not found anywhere to mount it. I have scanned my brain for solutions, including getting rid of anything that would provide the space for my bike, nothing yet.
My question is, is it serving me to have the bike in the hall (temporarily) even though I have read that blocking passageways blocks energy, more than keeping it mounted in front of my entrance door, causing my front door to not open fully. My gut tells me that blocking the entrance way and not allowing that door to open fully has a greater effect. Can you please clarify?"
Answer:
Ideally you want to make sure the pathway is clear. If the door is being blocked litearlly, that is not ideal when talking energy. Think of hallways as channels for water (energy) to flow through. If a river or stream has many rocks or debri, it either slows the flow down or backs it up. If the mouth of the channel is blocked (the door) well then the flow of energy from the get go is struggling to come in.
Could you make room in your closet if room allows. I have seen clients mount their bikes inside the closet or find a wall in thier home that is sturdy to place a bike rack and lift the bike off the ground. I have also seen vertical bike racks that you could place in a corner.
You have clarity with your question so it's time to do some research on your end :) Resources are all around, ask other friends with bikes, check out bike stores and even google "creative bike storage apartment" for example.
Feng Shui will provide the foundation of principle for a certain suggestion yet is a collaborative effort. You need to tap into that creative side for true solution that fits your personalty and lifestyle. Think outside the box with "Feng Shui eyes."
