Spring is in the air...well maybe not quite yet but hopefully soon. Spring to most means a fresh start when it comes to their homes. Spring cleaning, re-decorating and gardening are all set in motion with the change of the season.
Today I posted a list of tips for decorating on a budget on my facebook page. Catamount Realty Group Facebook Page Tips 1 & 2 both related to buying at consignment or antique shops and markets. That got me thinking about all of the great local shops & markets we have here in Vermont. I can't think of a better way to get spring started than supporting a local business. Even better is the idea of re-using, re-purposing or re-finishing something purchased from one of those local businesses. Taking something old (possibly even ugly) and making it new again is so rewarding.
Samira and I have plans to start a project like this very soon. We hope to take a home that needs a little love and make it beautiful again. We look forward to sharing all of progress before, during and after with you but while we wait I thought I would compile a list of great local shops which may inspire you in your next re-decorating adventure.
