Your Staging Team, Where do you get your creative influences from?

Home Stager with Essential Home Staging

Over the past year after venturing out of the 'corporate' world and creating my own, I realized how fortunate I am.

Kym Hough, who recently posted about 'taking a village of friends' when staging brought up a very important point.  We all are creative as stagers and each have a unique flair to bring something new to the homes we work on.

Although I am the full time staging guru for my company I have the pleasure of joining forces with my husband, Joe.  I have been quite surprised over the past year when he has outshined me on floor plans and unique touches when we've staged a home!

As our company grows he is becoming more and more an important part of our business, not just someone who I pass accounting stuff too. He is now working on understanding Active Rain and all the 'blogging' efforts, which can be a little overwhelming at first!

So look for us at future seminars, and markets...pick his brian, he's got an extensive business and management background that has helped our business tremendously!  He's even a pretty good accessory shopper!

With all that said, who's in your staging team that may be 'unnoticed' or have some hidden talents you don't want to admit to? :)

Michelle... So great to see you the other day. I hope you had a nice birthday. That is great that your husband supports you the way he does... you are lucky!  I would say that Mandi keeps track of time much better than I and Kathy is the queen of window and wall treatments which I really don't like doing. I get creative influences from everyone I work with. That is why I love working with others ;)

Hello Home!

Aw, Michelle, I loved this post, as I work with my husband full-time!

It is not always easy working with, eating with, sleeping with the same person day in, day out. Like you, I try to really encourage Mark's Organizer/Gadget Guy brain to think outside the box, and I am amazed at some of the solutions he comes up with.

He makes all our forms and he made and updates our website, and replies to all emails and keeps me on track. All this, and he maintains a positive attitude!

Wow!

Aren't we blessed?

I've found recently, that I've got some great marketing ideas from people out of the industry, it's great to get someone with a totally different perspective.

As for creative ideas...my husband is not my source-LOL!  He is very supportive though, and from a business end, he gives me great advice.

I have so many sources that I get inspired from, one source is a very good friend of mine who is an interior designer who has been in that field for 20 years.  As a matter of fact, this week-end I gave her a nice gift for her spirit of support and encouragement.

Of course, there's all the peeps right here as well!!  I really am enjoying the connection with AR, and truly appreciate all their support, ideas, and wonderful experiences that they so generously share.  :)

Michelle~may your "team" continue to be blessed.
