Which Bed-frame is better according to Feng Shui?-metal or wood?

A metal-frame bed can surround your body with a distorting magnetic field while you sleep.  The element of metal is a conductor, so by having an abundance of electronics surrounding you when sleeping, blended with a metal bed-frame creates easier transmission from those appliances to you.

Wood-frames deflect magnetic energy.  They also represent the energy of support when sleeping while also associating with career. A rested body, mind and spirit equals stronger productivity during the day, easier manifesting of new ideas and energy to follow through.

Thanks for the bed frame information. I hadn't thought about metal vs wood in this way.

I studied Feng Shui in college and fell completely in love with the concept. I have a metal frame (with electronics around me!) at home, but thinking of switching to wood to ease some stress...

Thanks for sharing Laura!

I never thought of this one Laura, but it really makes sense.  Thankfully all of our bed frames are wood.  I really didn't want to have to go out and buy new ones, haha.

Hi Laura,

I am glad to say I have a wooden bed so I guess I get good support while sleeping but....I do have one of those new foam matresses underneath with the support and the bed goes up and down so there is a motor underneath. I wonder if that is not good Feng Shui.

I am really picking up some information regarding Feng Shui from your posts!  This is an interesting post regarding the electronics and metal.  Feng Shui to this point has meant furniture placement and flow to me, not the materials used.

Laura, whew!  Right now, I'm really glad to be wrapped in wood while I sleep at night.

That is very interesting Laura. I have a metal frame that is covered up by fabric boards all around.. does that make a difference? I do not have any electronics in my bedroom except for my phone which also serves as my alarm.
