Spring has sprung and opening day is just around the corner.

This photo shows the Washington Senators lining the field during opening day in 1971. It was the last season the ball club would play in RFK and in Washington. For the second time, the Senators packed up and left town. The club moved to the Lone Star State and became the Texas Rangers. The National Capitol waited 34 years for a team to come back to town. This year you are going to have to wait for the Nationals home opener. The team is on the road against the Mets on opening day.
