Daytona Beach Hard Rock Hotel & Cafe
The new DAYTONA BEACH HARD ROCK HOTEL & CAFE complex in Daytona Beach, Florida will start construction later this year according to Bayshore Capital Inc. a Canadian real estate investment firm. Bayshore is making preparations to start construction by year’s end on the first phase of the $100 million Hard Rock Hotel & Cafe complex in Daytona Beach.
Daytona's sunny beach and history as an iconic vacation hot spot set the stage for a new and exciting Hard Rock Hotel.”
“The gorgeous beach, hot cars, bikes, great hospitality and the sound of rock ‘n’ roll music
together will celebrate Daytona Beach’s resurgence,”
said Henry Wolfond, chairman and CEO, Bayshore Capital.
“We feel privileged to be a part of this development and look forward to its opening around the 2016 Daytona 500.”
Toronto-based Bayshore Capital Inc. obtained zoning approval from the city of Daytona Beach late in 2013, and is finalizing design plans for the 250 room Hard Rock Hotel which will occupy 30 floors.
The first phase of the project will include the 250-room Hard Rock Hotel — including a Hard Rock Cafe, Rock Spa, Body Rock fitness center, pool and lobby bar — along with 107 residential condos, which kicked off sales in January and is reportedly 60% sold out according to the developers.
“You’ve got the elements of fast cars and motorcycles in Daytona Beach, and rock ’n’ roll goes hand-in-hand with that. If you’re going to go to a higher standard in terms of a resort hotel, Hard Rock is the perfect fit.” said Henry Wolfond, chairman and CEO of Bayshore Capital.
HKS Architects Inc. is the project designer, and Balfour Beatty Construction LLC is the general contractor.
Daytona Beach has several other exciting projects that are currently in the works:
- Trader Joe's - new distribution center
- One Daytona - Entertainment and shopping Mecca will be located directly across from the Daytona International Speedway.
- Daytona Rising - Construction is underway for the upgrading of the Daytona International Speedway
