Now that we are seeing an improvement in our real estate market, agents have more to prove than ever. We have to show our clients that we are trustworthy, competent, professional, and the all-around best person for the job. Since home buyers may still be nervous about buying a home, here are some ways to ease their fears.

Read Their Minds

You don't have to be one of the X-Men to do this. You can do this just by anticipating their questions. Most home buyers have many of the same questions and concerns. Before you jump in head first with a new buyer, be sure to explain the home buying process, and what is happening in your community which will affect real estate.

Eliminate Surprises

Inform your buyers of the costs that go along with buying a home. Buyers will be spending their valuable time and money in this process, so let them know when they will have to be available in person, when they need to have cash ready, etc. Prepare your buyers for other costs of owning a home, such as insurances. It's better for them to have all of the information upfront. Also, if homes in your area are selling very quickly, inform them that they may need to jump on a property, or they may miss out. In Florida, we have an inspection period during which they can back out of their contract if they find a home to be unacceptable.

Use Your Data

Numbers don't lie, and there's nothing like having cold, hard, data to back up your advice.

Use Your Experience To Your Benefit

As agents, we all have a competitive advantage: experience. No matter how great our neighbors, family, friends, and car mechanics are, unless they also work in real estate, these people are never going to know as much as we do about home buying. Establish a relationship with your buyers so that they know that you have their best interests in mind above all others-even yourself.

Great points, many times buyers do have similar questions.  Thanks for sharing.
