We get so wrapped up in our daily lives, that it is easy to forget about the elements in this world outside out immediate bubble. Sometimes we take a glimpse past this bubble and realize there is a larger picture than our own, and in that moment we think "maybe I'll volunteer at _____" or "Next paycheck, I'll donate a portion to ______."
Have you guys heard the commercial where the narrator says that merely thinking about giving is the same as not giving at all? Well, allowing this thought to strike a cord in you might be enough to encourage you to participate in at least one random (or premeditated!) act of kindness.
There are a lot of abused, neglected, homeless and innocent animals that would love to receive some of the kindness you have within you. If you're not in a position to adopt a pet in need, perhaps you can consider temporarily fostering a pet, or contributing to your local humane society or the ASPCA.
I have resolved to make a difference, however small. Aside from any private donations I wish to make, I will be contributing a donation to the Alachua County Humane Society in Gainesville, FL for EVERY ONE of my real estate transactions that successfully closes, beginning in April.
If you are currently searching for real estate in Alachua County and do not currently have a Realtor, please contact me! Alternatively, if you're considering listing your home in the Gainesville/Alachua County area, I will also be donating upon the close of any of my listings as well!
Not only are you gaining assistance in a real estate transaction, you're using the sale or purchase of real estate to help those that cannot help themselves and do not have a voice!
If you're not currently in the market, please digest this article carefully. We all have the power to do some good in the community, whether it be to help animals, raise breast cancer awareness, donate to other charities close to your heart, or volunteer some of your time for a good cause. Consider your footprint in society and think about what positive impact you can have.

If we all give a little, it can amount to a lot. ;)
Meet Mr. Blix! This is my baby, a 6 year old black lab/pitbull mix. He is the smartest, most loyal, loving and wonderful companion I could ask for! We adopted him when he was a puppy from someone who was not able to follow through with her plans to provide him with the home she intended to. He is our #1 son!
