We just got back into town from a long weekend up in the Smokey Mountains. We do not have cell service at out cabin, so whenever we go into town we are able to get our messages from the cell phone voice mail. It is so nice not to have the normal interruptions and to be able recharge the internal batteries of ones self, this is what our little cabin in the woods does for us.
We arrived late Thursday and on Friday I headed down to a little bakery for some fresh muffins for breakfast. I had two voice mails from the same person. One was from Thursday night at 10 PM and the other was Friday at 7:00 AM, it was now 9:00 AM and I returned the call. When the person answered on the other end I introduced myself and before I got much further than my name, the person on the other end said they must have an inspection on Sunday! I simply said that I seldom work on weekends and especially not on Easter Sunday.
The person who I called, was insistent that he needed an inspection on Sunday because he was flying out Sunday night and would not be around on Monday. Again I repeated myself, and then he said that he did not care about any religious holiday as he was an atheists! At this point I simply said Good Bye and hung the phone up. It was not two minutes before he called back and started over again. Again I hung up the phone and again he repeated. His final comment was that he was told to only use me and that he demanded that I was to do his inspection.
So after that I headed back up the mountain and we did not come down until early this morning for a Easter sunrise service at a little country church. Yes, I had about six voice mails from the demanding jerk!
Guess what!
It is Easter Sunday and I'm not working today!
