I recently had a closing with a title company closer that should seek another profession since she does a HORRIBLE job representing her title company.
This is a title company up in Pennsylvania that does foreclosures for Wells Fargo. Each and every time I heard from her that she needed something else, I got it to her immediately. On closing day, we had a remote closer and after the remote closer left the office with the package, I called the closer to see if I could give the buyers the keys to their new home. I had faxed the part of the package to the closer that the remote closer said needed to be faxed. The remote closer called the title company in Coraopolis and said she was leaving, that I would wait for her to call once the package was funded.
Here is when it gets funky: the closer in Pennsylvania did NOT check the fax to make sure she had everything she needed BEFORE the remote closer left. The remote closer called the closer in Pennsylvania and was told she could leave. Later, the closer in Pennsylvania realized she did NOT have everything she needed - she told me it would be the next day before I could hand over the keys.
I asked if I should call the lender to see what was missing and she said I should NOT call the lender, that I should WAIT for her to call me before I handed the keys over. I could tell she was irritated that I was questioning her. I explained that I have NEVER had a closing where the buyer did not receive the keys once the closing was funded and that funding ALWAYS took place on the same day. She was extremely irritated at that point and repeated that I should NOT call the lender.
Naturally, I hung up the phone and called the lender. They informed me that the remote closer did NOT fax all needed paperwork up to them............so it was indeed the following day before the lender told me I could give the keys to my client............I NEVER heard from the actual closer up in Coraopolis Pennsylvania!!! Had I waited for her to call before I gave the keys to my clients, they would STILL be waiting. Unprofessional is the least of what I have to say about her!
