Camas Meadows Golf Club 
Although my husband and I are not golfers, we enjoy the beautiful landscaping and natural setting of Camas Meadows Golf Club, which borders along one of our favorite running trail, Lacamas Heritage Trails. As spring sets in, we are noticing more activity on the course, so we decided to explore it the other day.
Camas Meadows features an amazing 18-hole Championship Public Golf Course designed to blend into the surrounding natural environment. The 330-acre facility, located adjacent to Lacamas Heritage Trails and Lacamas Lake, utilizes 90 acres that are manicured and groomed, while the remaining 240 acres are preserved in their natural state. Winding tree-lined fairways and unique groomed meadows provide a pleasant experience for golfers of all levels. Course hazards such as natural wetlands, limestone sand bunkers, and tall trees present sufficient challenge to keep the game interesting.
The facilities include a full-service pro shop, a Practice and Teaching Facility, and a year-round clubhouse. Overlooking the 18th hole, the Oaks Bar and Grille restaurant serves gourmet meals, premium wines and microbrews on tap. Special events such as weddings, tournaments, and seasonal parties are hosted throughout the year. A new addition, The Lower Terrace, offers outdoor relaxation and dining during the summer months and is available for private parties. A perfect place to unwind after a grueling 18 holes.
Although a public course, special rates are available for an annual membership for men and women golfers. Recently, the course joined the PGA Junior League for ages 7-18 and offers the PGA Academy, which teaches golf skills, sportsmanship, rules, and physical fitness.
