Responsibility to Clients
It is imperative that the best interests of our clients be pursued above our own. This is done by giving honest advice, always setting expectations up-front, doing what we say we are going to do, and holding all parties accountable for their actions in a fair and unbiased way.
We do not discriminate, and we comply with all federal, state, and local laws concerning discrimination. All parties are treated equally with respect to contractual obligations and "selective enforcement" of provisions is forbidden.
Get It In Writing
Everything must be in writing with respect to rules, expectations, and fees. Complete disclosure, with written acknowledgment (e.g.: signatures/initials) is mandatory. A final copy of signed agreements pertaining to the leasing and management of properties must be provided.
Protection of Managed Properties
All properties must be managed in accordance with the safety and habitability requirements of law. This is not an option -- the property must be well maintained.
Stewardship of Funds
All funds must be strictly controlled and accounted for in accordance with the law. Regular statements must be made available to the parties. Co-mingling of managed funds with personal funds is strictly prohibited.
As property managers we are privy to personal and private information and it is our duty to maintain such information in strict confidence at all times.
Timely Response Required
When an owner/tenant calls or emails, we must respond in a reasonably timely manner.
