Times are changing

Real Estate Agent with Edina Realty

As the days get longer and the weather improves activity seems to be growing.  With the turmoil of the market at this time some are taking a wait and see attitude.  Interest rates are still very low, inventories are high and most sellers are pretty motivated.  Will things stay this way for long?  None of us have a crystal ball to predict the future, but it would certainly be a shame to miss the boat.

It's important to remember real estate is local, in my area some neighborhoods have been hit hard and others have faired better than one would imagine.  As a Realtor I know my first priority is to build a trusting relationship with people.  I need my clients to know that my first concern is what's best for their particular situation and not about my next sale.  For buyers that means evaluating wants and needs, helping them to take care of their financing questions and showing them what effects the current market has had on the neighborhoods they are interested in.  For sellers that means helping them get the most for their property, how to make it show the best, the best ways to market to the most people and above all else price it right.  My clients can be sure their number one goal will be my number one goal and I will use my tools and knowledge to help them get the job done.

We all need a place to call home and the advantages presented with home ownership are still strong, are values moving up at this time as they have in the past, in most areas the answer would be no.  But is home ownership still a good way to build equity, receive tax advantages and have a great place to raise your family, for most I would say the answer is yes.  Will you be someone looking back 5 years from now and kicking yourself for not moving forward or will you be someone looking back with a big smile on your face and a nice home to call your own?
