We have seen an increase in foreclosures for San Luis Obispo County in 2014. As we look over the local MLS we have notice more foreclosures in Atascadero, Paso Robles, Nipomo, Oceano, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, Los Osos, and San Miguel. However California's ranking nationally is down from where it was a couple of years back.
On thing to notice per sources in a local bank is that there are close to 1,000 home owners that are at least 3 months behind in their mortgage payments. So does this mean more foreclosures are coming? We will wait to see! With banks doing more modifications and even foregiving debt, short sale options, this high amount of home owners in default many not be a direct correlation with foreclosures.

4. New Jersey
5. Illinois
6. Connecticut
7. Ohio
8. South Carolina
9. Georgia
10. Wisconsin
We will have to wait and see if the high amount of home owners late on their mortgage will translate into more foreclosures in the future. But since we are see more foreclosures in the county we can expect this increase to continue.
