Is your Real Estate Business listing accurate across the web? Thanks to RE/MAX BEST CHOICE REAL ESTATE AGENT DEAN ESHELMAN for letting me know about this. In the Facebook Mastergroup STAY THE COURSE which consists of pretty much consists of Activerainers,Dean posted on in group page "Yahoo Local works. Got a call this morning cause some one found me their!
After I left a message thanking Dean,I googled Yahoo Local and it brought me to a Yahoo page.Clicked on this page(I will share the link at the end of this blog). On the right hand side of this page,it is going to ask you to fill in some information such as your name,Company,BusinessAddress,Number,City and State. Once you finish filling in the information,it is going to scan your business. I have to admit I was totally shocked when I got the results. Out of like probably 28 local listing business including Yellow pages,Merchant Circle,Yelp and White pages,I was only listed like maybe three times-WHAT? Are you kidding me?
All this time here I am thinking that I had a strong internet presence Thanks to Active Rain who helped put me on the Map-Well in this case Internet-LOL. I am on T.com-The site that owns Active Rain,Facebook,LinkedIn,Yelp,Pinterest(Need to really build that page),Youtube,Z-Number one Real Estate Data Aggregator site and Twitter just to name a few. But I wasn't listed on the local sites such as Map Quest,City Search,Merchant Circle (Don't know why I wasn't listed here when I am),Elocal,Ezlocal and 8 Coupons-Have you heard of 8 Coupons because I sure haven't.
Just yesterday I wrote a blog where I asked my fellow Active Rainers How are you getting listings in this Real Estate Market. Just doing the online scan of my real estate business listing alone and not being found in more than 83% of the local business sites,I see why many people are not finding me online. Just like many people are still using T.com,Z.com and R.com-( You know the one that should've stopped T.com and Z.com from becoming to two big head money gobbling Monsters that they are now and now are number three behind them in online traffic. Oh and you pay your real estate dues to them annually as well ),people are using these sites as well to find their next real estate agent. So if you are not listed on these sites, there is a good chance that you are possibly missing out on some potential home buyer and seller leads.
In market which is even more competitive now and the 80/20 will probably be looking like the 5/95 rule soon meaning that 5% of the real estate agents will be doing 95% of the real estate business, you can't afford to make any mistakes. So please do a scan of your Real Estate Business listing to see if it is accurate across the web. After you do the scan, you have an option of paying like 89.95 for three months to help someone fix your Real Estate Business. I am already swapped with work. So it looks like I might be leaning towards paying that $89.95 for three months and have Yahoo Local make sure that my Real Estate Business Listing is accurate across the web. I need serious real estate business right now. Can't afford to miss out on potential real estate home buyers and sellers anymore. Plus this is something you can use in Listing appointments as well. When they see that you are listed on a lot of websites, there is a good chance that this will improve your chances of securing that listing.
