Earth Fest Coral Springs FL 2014
Coral Springs Florida celebrates Earth Day which is observed worldwide on April 22nd, yet here in Coral Springs we’re having our celebration of the day, on April 12th at Sandy Ridge Sanctuary in Coral Springs.
What do you know about Earth Day? Did you know that it was first celebrated in 1970? It is celebrated to show support for the protection of our environment. I had said above that it’s celebrated worldwide; any idea of how many countries participate in the celebration? It’s said that over 192 countries participate, as it’s not just the great USA! That’s incredible to have a worldwide coordination that watches over mother nature’s ground.
At the Earth Fest celebration, you’ll find exhibits on wildlife, guided tours, plants that are being provided for free, for Coral Springs residents. You’ll also enjoy activities that your children can enjoy and don’t forget the refreshments too!
The celebration begins at Sandy Ridge Sanctuary on April 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. which you’ll find at 8501 N.W. 40 St., which is east of University Drive between Sample and Wiles Roads. For more information, feel free to contact 954-344-1117.
